Project Summary
A Gift of Service to Greater Lagro Day Care Center
Project Description
The Rotary Club of Uptown Cubao, in partnership with its generous supporters, donated a chest freezer to the Barangay Greater Lagro Day Care Center to support the center’s daily needs and help provide a more convenient and safe facility for the children and daycare staff.
This simple yet meaningful donation is part of Rotary’s continuing commitment to “Service Above Self.” By responding to the practical needs of the community, the project aims to contribute to a better, healthier, and more supportive learning environment for the children of Barangay Greater Lagro.
A small gift, a lasting impact—serving our children, strengthening our community.
Community need & intended impact
The need being addressed and the change the project intends to create.
Community need
The Barangay Greater Lagro Day Care Center lacked adequate refrigeration equipment to safely store perishable meals, ingredients, and daily supplies for the children, making it difficult for the staff to maintain proper food safety and sanitation standards.
Project goals
To donate and install a reliable chest freezer for the daycare center, directly equipping the facility to properly store food items and improve daily operational convenience for the teachers and staff.
Intended impact
To enhance health, sanitation, and nutrition support for 50 daycare children by ensuring their daily meals and provisions remain fresh, safe, and wholesome within a more supportive learning environment.
Sustainability plan
To turn over full ownership and maintenance responsibility of the chest freezer to the daycare center management, supported by community partnerships and local club oversight to ensure its long-term utility and proper upkeep.
People & partnerships
The people, Clubs and community partners helping deliver the work.
